Prayer meetings

Luke 11:1 “Lord, teach us to pray,"

Prayer

Prayer is a crucial part of life for Christian Assembly. Past experience of God answering prayer encourages us to believe that he will do it again according to his will and purpose.

Prayer meeting

A poem on prayer

Stir me, oh, stir me, Lord I care not how,
But stir my heart in passion for the world!
Stir me to give, to go- but most to pray;
Stir, till the blood-red banner is unfurled
Over lands that still in heathen darkness lie,
Over deserts where no cross is lifted high.

Stir me, oh, stir me, Lord till prayer is pain-
Till prayer is joy- till prayer turns into praise!
Stir me, till heart and will and mind- yea all
Is wholly Thine to use through all the day.
Stir, till I learn to pray “exceedingly:”
Stir, till I learn to wait expectantly.

Wisdom from Oswald Chambers

We are not fundamentally free; external circumstances are not in our hands, they are in God’s hands, the one thing in which we are free is in our personal relationship to God. We are not responsible for the circumstances we are in, but we are responsible for the way we allow those circumstances to affect us; we can either allow them to get on top of us, or we can allow them to transform us into what God wants us to be.

"God heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds." (NIV)
